The candadites are more focused on winng the race then alctural adressing the grim reality experenced by the citizens. An examble of this would be an political cartoon with a box that has McCain saying" I said "change" 10 time today.", and Obama saying" I said "change" 20 times today." This proves that the candidtes want votes so much that they compete about how many times they say the word "change". With another box that has a man holding an unempolment sign on and holding a cup saying" I said "change" 300 times today. This is an example of the grim reality of citizen and the problems indicting that no matter how many times the word "change" is said it doesn't matter. Political candidates are showen as people wanting votes rather then helping the people.

McCain and Palin are being depicted as liers. This is showen in a political cartoon with an elepant with a long wooden nose. The Republican Party's sympol is showen as a lier. The elephant has a sald with McCain and Palin on it. This shows that McCain and Palin are paired together. The republican party is being depicted as being paied together and lieing.
Ben Sargent. ""Father, McCain's Exorcism" 9/9/08:9/11/08
George Bush is being depicted as unpopular and McCain and the Republican Party not wanted to be associated with him. To show this point the political cartoon shows McCain in an exorcise outfit. This shows that McCain is going to purge something. Then it has McCain over an elipghan in a bed shakeing with a bed over it and McCaine's hand over it saying "I cast you out unpopular spirit! Be gone forever, George Bush!!!" this further shows that the repulican part is not willing to be assosiated with George Bush and to do this they have to cast his emmage out of the repulican partys image. The republican dipicted it as disowning bush and casting him from there image.
Jeff Danziger. "The Working Class" New York Times.com 23/9/08:8/11/08
The Republican Party is being depicted as to were your taxs go. This is showen in a political cartoon weres theres a man saying to his friend "Next time i have to pay my taxes I'm not just going to send it in, I'm going to find some rich guy and give it to him". This shows that all the tax money is going to the rich. You see this when the mans friend says" right much more demercratic". This is saying that is demercratic to give the money to the rich. The Demercratic Party is said to give taxs to the rich.

Connecticut Personal and Political Importance
Connecticut has both personal and political importance because of its stands on abortion. Connecticut's law states that you do not need parental approval or supervision for an abortion. I agree with this because I believe if you are old enough to conceive a baby then you are old enough to decide if or when you want to have an abortion. Obama is pro-choice while McCain is pro-life. This state can be a great help to Obama in wining the election because the fact of its laws. Four-teen out of fifty, of twenty-eight percent, states have laws that say you don't have to have parental permission to have an abortion.

Obama Stands
McCains Stands
--------Favors increased offshore drilling and increased production as primary means to break dependence on foreign oil; opposes drilling in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.----------Offshore drilling has pros, like the increase in gas, but a lot of cons to consider to, like constantly needing manned facilities to be kept above sea-level. offshore drilling is act of extracting underground resources which lie underwater near the shoreline, or easily said as when you get the resource from under ground to above ground for uses. Offshore drilling is an hazard to or environment, do to the fact of potential oil spills. My stand on offshore drilling is disapprove do to all the hazards to the environment, i am all for helping not hurting the environment.
----------Mandatory reductions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases by 66 percent from 1990 levels by 2050, using a market-based cap-and-trade system that would increase energy costs.-----------
The Presidential candidates often sweeten the serious issues to get votes. For example the first pictures shows rotten lemons with the serious issues on them such as; Climate Crisis, Tax Policy, and Debt. I think this shows all the serious problems as something that can be changed. For example the second picture shows McCain trying to sell very expensive lemonade. I think this shows how is willing to change al those problems easily and simple. This questions whether McCain and the Republican Party over simplify the solution to these problems for votes.
Tony Auth "Trojan Elephant" New York Times.com 18/9/08:11/7/08
The Government is being viewed as acting deceitfully behind the bailout plan. Further shown in a political cartoon when there is a wooden elephant with the words “Congratulations on your deal to save the economy!-House Republicans”. The House Republicans have given the president a congratulatory present, though it is liable to hurt him. It is night and the elephant is night time and the elephant is in front of the Capital Building, with the words Trojan Elephant at the bottom of the page. The present is delivered at night and a copy of the Trojan horse therefore it is meant to deceive the president. The public is viewing the Government as deceptive under the bailout plan.

Sarah Palin
Location does not influence experience. Such in the case of Sarah Palin when she joined the Wasilla city council in 1992, then served as the city's mayor from 1996-2007. Palin has a lot of experience in government and her location didn't stop her. She became Alaska's first female governor on 4 December 2006 after running a campaign based on ethics and clean government. Palin can be considered as a person how has went far with her government career. Experience is not influenced by location.Core-beliefs influence decisions made. Such in the case of Sarah Palin when she announced on 1 September 2008 that her 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, was pregnant and would marry the father of the child. It could be that her belief of marriage led her to announce that. Her son Track Palin joined the US Army in 2007. This could affect how she deals with wars and conflict. Core-beliefs affect the decisions you make.

Joe Biden
Ones experience and core beliefs influence how they make decisions. Such is the case of Joe Biden who is married and had three kids. This affects what decisions he makes and will make. Two out of three of his kids died in a car crash. This will make him more so for some laws then others. Experience and ones core beliefs influence ones decisions.
